Worth every penny and a full day out!

Located only 22 miles (just under ½ hour) from the 4* Abbey hotel Golf and Spa in Redditch, plus if you’re staying with us ask reception for a 25% discount voucher. It’s best to go when they have events going on though out the day such as the jousting which I think was the best part of the day. The characters are believable and really take you back in time.

 

Lots to do and see not just the castle itself. You can pay extra to visit the dungeons however as we were with small children (they were 2 & 5 when we visited) we didn’t go, and they recommend that this attraction is unsuitable for children under 10 years old.

I did take my eldest to the top of the castle which was quite scary as you have to climb a very narrow spiral staircase and once you start going up you can’t go back as it’s a one way system but once you get to the top the view is spectacular and my little boy loved being the ‘king of the castle’.

 

There is a large outside play area great for kids of all ages. There are lots of places to purchase food from afternoon tea to fish and chips or you are welcome to take your own picnic.

Overall we all had a brilliant day and would highly recommend it for families or couples as there really is something for everyone.

School Prom

 This years prom season has now come to an end but we have really enjoyed hosting so many of them and can't wait to do it all again next year. From formal sit downs to informal buffets we can cater to all requirements.

The main advantage for our school prom bookings is that we allow you to completely tailor-make your evening to suit your requirements. Whether it be the food, decorations etc. We offer flexibility to allow you to create the school prom of your dreams.

We can help you to organise your event suggesting themes, colours, balloons, table decorations, a disco, a band, car hire companies and a photographer, or we are happy for you to organise it all yourself, but if you need good contacts we have many we can recommend. And if you are looking to add a little something extra to your school prom we can arrange a delicious sweetie table.

For school proms we can cater up to 150 guests for a formal 3 course meal and up to 200 for a more informal buffet. Music can play till 12.30am.
